Essentially within the human being, there is a certain allotment of energy action, intellect, emotion, and so on. This differs from person to person but generally, the amount of energy allotted particularly for physical action and emotional dimension remains unused in today’s world. Using your body to play any sport like tennis, swimming, and music helps to recover quite wonderfully.

During free time always spend time walking in the jungle or boating in the river for some exposure to nature is needed. You need to understand that your physiological and psychological health can be very easily managed if you are in touch with the elements of nature water, soil, light, and things like that. The more exposed you are, the more balanced you are both physiologically and psychologically which must happen to every human being.

Eating the right food helps enhance your physical and mental capability. If you consume a glass of ash gourd juice every day, you will see the sharpness of your intellect will enhance itself. You will be mentally much sharper than the way you are right now.

The more time you spend on social media the more negatively impacts your mood. Everyone knows that we have good days and bad days but what I see when I log on to social media is one person having fun enjoying the party along with his friends. The next day I see the same thing that I saw yesterday again and again I log on to social media, and I see the same type of content which is very relatable to the previous. Every time I log on to social media what rises to the top is what I like the most where people are having the most fun does that make sense? So every time I log on what I see is the best moment of 365 Lives and then what it gives me the impression of is everyone is out there having fun all the time I only have fun parties with friends only some days but everyone is having so much fun all the time. So it creates the false sense that everyone out there is living this perfect life whereas my life is just ordinary and in the face of a perfect life the ordinary life feels depressing.

  7. What are the types of depression?  

Depression is the most commonly diagnosed mental health condition but the term depression refers to multiple different diagnoses. Depression comes in many different forms and affects each person in different ways leading to multiple classifications.

Depression is also known as a depressive disorder which is a common mental health disorder that involves a depressed mood or loss of pleasure or interest in activities.

a. Major Depressive Disorder (Clinical depression)

According to APA (American Psychological Association) major depressive disorder or clinical depression is a depressive disorder characterized by persistent low moods, loss of interest in your favorite activities, and lack of motivation to carry out basic tasks.

                    Symptoms of Major Depressive Disorder

✔. Feeling like a burden
✔. Difficulty concentrating and making decisions
✔. Sleeping too much or too little
✔. Loss of interest or pleasure

b. Persistent Depressive Disorder

Persistent Depressive Disorder is a depressive disorder similar to MDD except that it is long-lasting. It includes the common symptoms of MDD. Each symptom must occur at least two years before being diagnosed.

c. Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar Disorder is a group of mood disorders in which symptoms of mania and depression alternate. DSM-5 has four different classifications for the condition.

Bipolar 1 Disorder is where the individual fluctuates between episodes of mania and major depressive episodes or experiences a mix of these.

Bipolar 2 Disorder is when the individual fluctuates between major depressive and less intense manic episodes known as hypomania.

Cyclothymic Disorder is recognized by periods of milder and depressive episodes and hypomania.

Seasonal Affective Disorder is a disorder in which there is a predictable occurrence of major depressive episodes, manic episodes, or both at a particular time of the year. The typical pattern is the occurrence of major depressive episodes during the fall or winter months but in some cases can occur in spring and summer.

                     Symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder

e. Postpartum Depression

Postpartum Depression is a medical condition that many women get after having a baby.

✔. The feeling of sadness or despair

g. Atypical Depression

Atypical Depression is a major depressive episode characterized by features that are unusual in other forms of depression. Most commonly, your depressed moods improve significantly when you hear good news.

                     Symptoms of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder
✔. Sadness or depressed mood most of the day
✔. Loss of enjoyment in once pleasurable things
✔. A major change in weight or appetite
✔. Insomnia
✔. The feeling of hopelessness and worthlessness
✔. Problems with concentrating or making decisions

 

h. Psychotic Depression

Psychotic Depression is a mental disorder in which a person has depression along with a loss of touch with reality. The psychosis can take forms such as hallucinations, delusions, having false beliefs, or some other break with reality.

                        Symptoms of Psychotic Depression

✔. Anxiety
✔. Hypochondria
✔. Intellectual impairment
✔. Physical immobility
✔. Delusions or hallucinations
