  A. History of Home Remedies   

Ancient Chinese and Egyptian writings describe many medicinal uses for plants dating back to 3000 BC. Earlier in the 1800s most people were working very hard to earn money and run their livelihood. Since the expenses of the doctor and the price of the medicine were very high they fully depended upon home remedies and fortunately, that worked. Then the home remedies started becoming popular in every home instead of taking the tablets medicine.

There are many advantages of using home remedies for hair fall. Home remedies are free from harsh chemicals and have no side effects, They save time, have a lasting effect, and usually, the materials are easily available. With this in mind let us see some home remedies for hair fall:

a. Onion curry leave hair mask

Due to the presence of dietary Sulphur in onion which promotes hair growth due to the production of keratin Curry leaves contain different antioxidants which makes the hair stronger.

Blend a few pieces of onion in a grinder with a little water and strain the juice. Grind a fistful of curry leaves into a smooth paste. Add the onion juice to it and mix it well. Apply the mixture to your scalp and hair. Leave it on for an hour and then wash it off use a little bit of shampoo and use this mask once a week.

b. Fenugreek seeds and Hibiscus flower hair mask

Soak 2 tablespoons of full fenugreek seed in a cup of water overnight. Boil the seeds in the same water. After cooling, grind the seeds into a paste using the same water along with 3-4 hibiscus leaves with a hibiscus flower. Massage the paste on your scalp and leave it for approximately 30 minutes. Rinse the hair with Luke’s warm water and a little bit of shampoo. Apply this mask twice a week.

 

c. Aloe vera and olive oil hair mask

Aloe vera contains almost 75 constituents and vitamins A, C, E, B12, Folic acid, and Choline which helps in the rejuvenation of cell. Olive oil is a rich source of vitamins A and E which helps to strengthen hair strands and stimulate hair follicles.

Take 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a bowl and mix it well. Use the prepared mixture to massage your scalp for 10 minutes. Leave it on for some time (30 minutes) and then wash your scalp with a little bit of shampoo. Apply this mask once or twice a week.

 

Eat a balanced diet and do not skip any meals because fasting deprives the body of essential nutrients and so hairfall becomes very easy.

We all know catching a cold is not pleasant and suffering increases when a person has a running nose, puffed nose, running eyes, and feeling feverish. Some excellent natural home remedies can give you instant relief.

a. Combination of Dry ginger, Black pepper and Holy Basil

Boil all these ingredients in water for some time and then strain it and drink it if it is too pungent put jaggery inside and drink it but you must drink such a liquid twice a day at least that could help you.

Ginger has a substance called gingerly. It helps in preventing further inflation. Black pepper is also a strong anti-inflammatory. Holy Basil could boost the production of antibodies.

 

b. Combination Ginger Juice, Honey and Turmeric

Take a spoonful of Honey, put a few drops of fresh ginger juice in that, put turmeric in that just mix it, and sip it slowly in your throat.

Honey has a soothing effect on the throat. Turmeric is a strong immunity booster.

 

c. Combination of Jaggery, Ginger powder and Turmeric

Take some spherical balls made up of Jaggery, ginger powder, and Turmeric. If you have a sore throat then add some ghee to it and make a small ball keep it in your mouth and go on sucking it a little and then chew it up.

 

d. Salt water gargling 

Yoga says very clearly that saline liquid helps loosen up the mucus so gargle with salt water, water should be warm put a little salt and gargle you can put even turmeric in it and gargle.

a. Gargling Holy basil & Turmeric Water

Take 2-3  holy basil leaves boil them in water and strain the water, and in that water put some turmeric. This water is best to gargle, whenever you gargle, gargle at a warm temperature. Gargle it whenever it is needed.

Holy basil helps liquefy the flame in your throat and thereby gives you relaxation. Holy basil acts as an adaptogen that reduces the stress in your throat.

 

b. Heart-leaved moonseed

Heart-leaved moonseed is an excellent anti-inflammatory and it heals your throat. It is a proven fact that heart-leaved moonseed is an excellent healer for cough and throat pain.

Take some Heart-leaved moonseed stems and boil them till they reduce to half. Strain the water and consume it early in the morning at a warm temperature, it gives you quick relief.

c. Lemon grass, Ginger, and Mint concoction

Boil 15 mint leaves and grated ginger in 2 glasses of water, boil it thoroughly well till it comes to one glass, and keep this water with you and drink it as and when required. The anti-inflammatory property of ginger helps in removing the inflammation of the throat.

Ginger tends to block the pro-inflammatory protein in our body which reduces the inflammation of the body. Mint and lemon grass acts as decongest. 

 

d. Garlic

The best way to eat garlic would be to just chew one clove of the garlic in the mouth or keep it in the mouth and go on sucking for 2 minutes. Honey is an excellent source for sore throat, it is very soothing in any case.

Garlic has antiseptic properties, which can help with bacterial infections. It helps in relieving sore throat pain also. The crushed garlic released the compound allicin. This allicin has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties.

e. Dry ginger powder and Honey

Dry ginger powder is highly inflammatory so naturally, it would help in reducing sore throat. Take a spoonful of honey and add 1/4th teaspoon full of dry ginger powder mix this paste well and suck it.  Remember to drink warm after you have put anything in your mouth.

Morning Sun for the throat would be best. So when you see the rising sun say till 8 o’clock open your mouth pull your tongue out and show your throat to the sun. Stay there for some time say for 5 minutes and that would help to remove inflammation from your throat. Use a hot water bag when the sun is not available keep a hot water bag on your throat and make this area warm very often in a day. 

Avoiding the habit of having very spicy, deep-fried, and hot food. Take food at normal temperature not at high temperature. Do not allow your mouth and throat to dry otherwise, you will feel burning in your throat.

Take 1 liter of lukewarm water and add to it 1 tablespoon of fennel seeds, 1 teaspoon of dried ginger powder or 1/2 inch crushed fresh ginger root, 1 teaspoon of chia seeds, and 2 to 3 dried figs. Allow the water to be infused and drink it before bedtime or early morning on an empty stomach.
