White Flour: Is it harmful?

  A. Introduction  

Nowadays, we often hear that White Flour is not suitable for our health or whatever food items prepared from Flour we must avoid, and even the doctor suggests less consumption of Flour.

But the question is “Is White Flour harmful”.

Yeah, it is. Here is why, White Flour is made from the endosperm part of the grain whereas the bran part is separated from the wheat grain. The food items prepared from White flour taste good. White Flour enhances the taste of food. The endosperm is regarded as the waste part of the wheat grain. Can you believe White Flour is the waste part of the grain that does not have any nutrients? Yeah, it is. Most of the food items at our home are prepared from White Flour, making us addicted to it.


 1. Negative impact  of Excessive Consumption of White Flour:  

✓ Slows down in digestion

We often feel heavy after having white flour-based food because all the digestive fibers of the wheat grain are lost in the process of making the White flour. So it’s almost like glue in the gut. This may lead to overall metabolism problems and hence in turn weight gain.

✓ Bad for bone health 

Since all the nutrients are lost in the process of making the white flour, it becomes acidic. Highly acidic food is the cause of calcium removal from your bones to maintain the pH level in your blood.

✓ Increases in bad cholesterol

White flour does not have the dietary fibers as Whole Wheat has, its consumption for a long time can result in an increment of bad cholesterol.

✓ Increases high risk of diabetes

Food made or prepared from White Flour releases glucose very quickly in the bloodstream. If we continue consuming White Flour frequently pancreas loses the ability to secrete insulin which leads to diabetes.


  2. Why White Flour is bad for health?

White Flour is regarded as a slow poison. It tends to stick to your intestine and stomach which later on creates a problem of digestion, slow metabolism which results in weight gain, and even a rise in the blood sugar level in the body or it s. Any Food that is prepared or contains White flour has a high glycemic index which quickly releases the sugar into the bloodstream and causes a sharp insulin response, Long-term consumption of highly processed food causes insulin resistance and eventually type II diabetes occurs. If you are diabetic say “No to White Flour”.


                            3. DARK REALITY OF BREAD  

  a. WHY DO DOCTORS KEEP SAYING BREAD IS BAD FOR HEALTH?  

✓ When you eat bread you get a lot of calories which is fine, you need carbs to get energy but the thing is it does not make you feel full.

✓ Even though bread has a lot more calories it does not have much Fiber.


  b. Is Brown better than white bread?

Observing both White Bread and White Bread we can clearly say that both of them are not healthy at all. Both of them contain the following ingredients;

✓ Stabilizer

✓ Preservatives

✓ Emulsifier

✓ Artificial Food Colors

Food with all these elements is not considered as healthy. Since talking about brown bread is a healthier option which is not true at all. According to the packet of bread, it contains 53% Whole Wheat flour and it does not mention 45% contain what? It’s a very clever move to make people fool.

Brown bread is just white bread with molasses and caramel color. You can call it a scam. Both are different only in color and contain a maximum same ingredients.
